The term citizens and city have always existed together and none of them is less important than the other. City is place where citizens live, and citizens are people who contribute and control the city. These two terms have a very close relationship with each other and it would not exist without the other. How people in city behave and think contribute a lot to the development and the appearance of the city. The project “citizens in city” focuses on the new thinking of the younger generation citizens. Their thinkings are mainly influenced by the sub-cultures which they adopt from other countries. The project reflects the aspect and cultures of a new city which is built by this generation.
The project is a small book which tells stories about 9x generation. The book is divided in to sections, and each section’s title is a place’s name such as school, hospital, bar, etc. Each section tell a story which shows the point of view of the main character and her thinking on that place. There are some lines of 9x language in the stories, in order to read and understand the whole story, the readers would need to use the decoding table. The book contains facts and information and it reflects the modern lives of 9x generation.
